Robert Gatdula first discovered swing dancing in 2008 but only really started learning in 2009 after being convinced to go check out the Philadelphia dance scene. That fated night he got introduced and hooked into one of the most heartwarming and fun communities he’s ever been a part of. Since then, he’s touched many aspects of the dance, including being in a couple of performance teams, competing, teaching, DJing and organizing. He was involved with building up the university scene at Rutgers University and travelled around to various exchanges and workshops around the world. At the moment, he resides in the Bay Area helping out Wednesday Night Hop. Usually you will find him Lindy Hopping, but he also likes Balboa, Blues, and West Coast Swing.

Outside of dancing, his day job is a hybrid hardware/software engineer. His hobbies include rock climbing, playing tennis, gardening, fixing hardware, hiking, exploring drinks/foods/restaurants, cooking, and baking. If you’ve got a baking idea, please let him know!
