Like many in the dance community, Maria Simbirsky is a software engineer by day, swing dancer by night. She started swing dancing in 2012, right here at Wednesday Night Hop, and quickly fell in love with both the dance and the amazing dance community. She has since traveled across the country and internationally to attend Lindy Hop and Balboa events.
Maria became involved in organizing Wednesday Night Hop in 2015, and has a passion for building a safe, inclusive, and accessible community for all dancers. When not dancing, she can be found sewing, doing arts & crafts, or on the hunt for the perfect cup of coffee.
