Ali Wilkening began dancing in Boise, Idaho nearly a decade ago when the snap decision to go to a live band night, ended up becoming a life-long obsession. In Boise, Joel Hunter and Stephanie Hinton instilled within her a passion for building a comfortable, clear partnership between lead and follow. Moving to Saint Louis in 2016, Ali deepened her relationship with jazz music, finding the partnership between dancer and music to be just as intricate as that between a lead and follow. Now in the Bay Area, Ali is excited to share all that she has learned about how to use the music, your partner, and your own perspectives to build an amazing dance.
