Classes Every Week
We offer four series classes and a newcomer taster class every Wednesday night. Registration for class series include the dance party admission. Our series classes are organized in progressive monthly series and we encourage students to attend the whole series. We do not accept drop-ins in class series. RCheck this FAQ for details.
The Newcomer Taster class is from 8:15 to 9:15pm and is included with the dance admission. First-come basis, spots are limited so make sure to arrive on time.
Our class syllabus is organized into five tracks: Beginners, Journey, Small Groups, Performance, and Balboa. Please check our curriculum page for details.
Due to covid19 protocols, online registration is currently required. Buy your tickets in advance. We will not be taking cash at the door. You can register with or without a user account. A user account allows you to keep track of what classes you have attended and allows us to keep track of whether we have verified your vaccination status so that you can get through the front desk faster (we do not store any other vaccine information).
Partnered / Solo Classes
Some lessons are solo classes, most lessons are partnered classes. Partnered swing dancing is a role based dance. You have to choose between the role of “leader” or the role of “follower”, and stick with it for the duration of the series class or drop-in. Check this FAQ for more information. Unless otherwise specified, you do not need a partner to come to class.
WNH wants to provide our community with a way to learn and enjoy Lindy Hop – even when life gets in the way. The community fund is a way for dancers who have a little extra money to help those who cannot afford to take classes or come to dances. More details here.
