Friday eve starts with a Harlem Culture and Dance Film Fest at 9pm exploring Harlem’s dance influences that spawned from the Lindy Hop! We will also delve into The Harlem Renaissance with Jazz and more
There will be a Dance Cousin Dance Contest in the spirit of The Harvest Moon Ball competitions! Exclusive talks, Live streamed features; Harlem Nights Rent Party Dance and Jazz Divas

~9pm NOV. 6th – Tonight’s theme includes The Big Apple, Shag and The Lindy Hop! See Harlem Dance Icons, Influences and as you visit Harlem culture of the times and see why this culture is so important to preserve. We travel to North Carolina and see how Harlem influenced dance styles of the South….

FILMS: Featuring interview and insights with Frankie Manning, Norma Miller and Al Minns of Harlem’s famed Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers! Also history of pioneer famed filmmaker Oscar Micheaux

You’ll hear the jams for all genres of dance: Freestyle, partnering, Swing, Bop, Swing Out and more!

~4pm NOV. 8th – 4pm Keepers of the Flame: Mama Lu to the rescue! The 1960s are here and the Mama Lu Parks Dancers along with Sonny Allen and his Rockets keep Harlem’s dance of the Lindy Hop alive in their own way for many years … years when many claimed (even to this day) “the dance is/was dead”. The evolution are our Dance Cousins: Chicago and Detroit Steppin, Philly Bop, Hand Dance, Swing Out, etc. The legends will critique and judge what they see in the style of The Harvest Moon Ball contests they participated in.
~8:30pm Savoy Sunday: The Ballroom and the Manor
Honored HMBs talk of the place they danced in and what we missed… and if we can get it back….
~9pm Harlem Swing Band – SUNDAY Nights with Swinging Jazz – a Harlem tradition!
Join us for a Special Savoy Sunday of Hot Swinging Jazz with the Harlem High Society Band featuring Jazz Diva Terri Davis! Dress up and dance on your virtual dance floor for a fun and soulful Sunday evening to classic tunes with a new groove…
~10pm SWINGING R&B / SOUL DANCE PARTY
Two DJ’s take us out with Jazz, Soul, Motown and a host of musical gems!
