While it is commonplace for folks to stick to a single role in partner dance, you might have come across people dancing both a lead and a follow role, and that is Ambi-dancing. You might even have come across dancers who switch role in the middle of a song with a consenting partner!

Come join Calvin Lu (Dancer’s Den, The Switch), Erendiz Tarakçi (The Switch), and Brynna Hayes (San Jose Swing) as they share their favorite clips from their ambi-dancing video collection. You will see both dancers new and old, breaking what “appears to be a dance norm”, but is really celebrating the freedom and exploring another level of fun in partner dancing.
