Gender equity has been a critical component of recent conversations generated through the Black Lives Matter and #MeToo movement. This panel will reflect on the ways in which discussion around gender justice have been informed by these movements as well as the valuable work that continues to take shape in order to create a more equitable landscape in jazz. Please join us for an intergenerational discussion on the current and past strategies that Black women in jazz have used to fight towards racial and gender justice.
