In honor of Black History Month, Wednesday Night Hop invites you to celebrate and honor swing dancing’s place within Black American culture and history with information, games, and of course dancing. Learning this dance means learning about its roots and importance so that we can be responsible ambassadors, practitioners, and organizers of this beloved cultural treasure.
For the month of February, if you attend a Black History Month event near you, just bring the receipt (or a selfie) to the front desk for free entry to that night’s dance party! We’ve compiled a list of possible events in the Bay Area for you, but we will also accept attendance at unlisted events! Let us know if you have any questions!
