We offer four series classes and a taster drop-in class every Wednesday night. Our series classes are organized in progressive monthly series and we encourage students to attend the whole series. You are free to drop in unless otherwise specified. Check this FAQ for details.

Leader or Follower?

Partnered swing dancing is a role based dance. There is a leader and there is a follower. You can choose whichever role you want to learn. We ask that you choose a role and stick to it for the complete series class or drop-in class.

The terms ‘leader’ and ‘follower’ are a little misleading but we haven’t found anything better yet.…

Punch Cards

WNH offers $80 value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with cash at the door. Just present your card and sign in!

Do you offer private lessons?

24 & younger discounts

  • April 18, 2015

WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years or younger! Show proof of age 24 or younger at the front desk for 50% off the regular price of series classes. You get an even bigger discount when you register online. Dances are also discounted to a $6 admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted. Discount policy for 24 and younger:

  • $25 for 4-week series classes online before start date / $30 on start date or at the door (regularly $50 / $60 respectively)
  • $16 for drop-in classes (same as regular price)
  • $6 for the dance only (regularly $8 or $12 on band night)

What class should I take?

We recommend you take the beginners track series (at least) four times (meaning for four months) to give you a chance to take all four different topics covered in each of those months, as well as getting a good foundation with your basic send-out, swing-out, lindy circle and charleston.

What time should I show up for class?

You have to either sign in or register for class when you get to the venue. There is often a line at the front desk right before class. We advise to beat the crowds and arrive at the venue 15min before class starts on the first week of the month and 10min on other weeks.…
