Mark your calendars! Our next band night will be on August 11th with Carl Sonny Leyland and Friends! Whether playing solo or with his trio, Leyland's playing displays an infectious spontaneity, providing plenty of surprises for the listener. While he possesses the necessary vocabulary to pay tribute to the greats of old, he refuses to limit himself to this and prefers to let each performance be an opportunity to say something new.

You may recognize Carl Sonny Leyland from the Jazz festival circuits or the Rhythmic Arts Festival when it was down in San Diego. We were happy to have seen him this year in Monterey as part of The International Sextet and gotten on his calendar to play at Wednesday Night Hop. Sonny will be joined by Katie Cavera (guitar), Marty Eggers (bass), and Clint Baker (drums).

This will be the second week of classes in August. Audrey and Ryan will review what you have learned the previous week and introduce more exciting material. Unsure about what class to take? Click here.

Join us a week earlier on August 4th to get more out of your classes by starting August's 4-week series and building on what you learn throughout the month. 4-week Series: $50 regular admission ($25 for age 24 and under).

Missed the first week of classes? You can still join in on band night the second week. Prorated classes will be $40 for the rest of the month.
